Hi Jan
We got back home from a week at the cottage and you were constanly in our thoughts and conversations. It was absolutely wonderful to see your comments and to hear how much you are enjoying Jello. Our prayers are with you every day.

Hi Jan It was great to see you today. "You Look Marvelous!" Thought you might enjoy this:
To commemorate her 69th birthday on October 1, actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall for the benefi t of the AARP.
One of the musical numbers she performed was "My Favorite Things" from the legendary movie "Sound Of Music".
Here are the lyrics she used:
Maalox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Cadillacs and cataracts ,and hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.
When the pipes leak,
When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simpl y remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.
Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Back pains, confused brains, and no need for sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things.
When the joints ache,
When the hips break,
the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so bad.
(Ms. Andrews received a standing ovation from the crowd that lasted over four minutes and repeated encores.)
Look forward to another visit, when we can bring you some nice home cooked treats. Love Ron and Kerry

Unofficial Blog Update!
Just to let you know that Jan has changed rooms (right across from the pantry - a true McMillan - always trying to get closer to the buffet table!).
I don't know the room number but her new extension number is 3131
Rob
They've probably moved her closer to the pantry because she is starting to eat again and they are tired of running down the hall.
Yup, she's on the road to recovery now, even allowed to eat soft foods and not just liquids. Hurray!
We'll have you out of there in no time, girlfriend. Keep up the good work, and keep eating.....
Hi Janet and Mike,
We're back from Florida and thanks to this blog we were able to get updates throughout our trip and you were in our thoughts every day. Hope things continue to improve and we'll visit as soon as we can. We did bring back a pair of ears from you know who. Mickey said to say "hi".

Hi Janet! Hope you are having a nice day today. Linda and I had the honor of meeting your mom today. She sat in your chair for a bit which was a bit like having you here! What kind of jello did you have today???
